Our Focus

Our work is guided by three core pillars that define our focus: Education, Research, and Empowerment

I. Education

IMAM offers educational resources and speakers who provide briefings and discussions on religious freedom, human rights, Islamophobia, and the impact of Hindu nationalism on minority communities in India and across the diaspora. All presentations are educational and research-based, consistent with IMAMโ€™s mission of advancing awareness and informed public dialogue.

Our speakers can present on a variety of topics, including:

  • Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement – Empowering the next generation to participate meaningfully in civic life, democratic processes, and public discourse.
  • Hindu Nationalism (Hindutva) and Its Global Impact – Exploring the ideology, its historical context, and its implications for democratic institutions, minority rights, and transnational repression affecting diaspora communities.
  • Religious Freedom and Human Rights – Examining current developments affecting minority communities and the broader landscape of constitutional protections.
  • Diaspora Politics and Democratic Institutions – Analyzing how political ideologies and movements cross borders and influence diaspora communities, policymaking, and public narratives.
  • Indian Muslim Identity, Heritage, and Culture – Highlighting the history, contributions, and cultural heritage of Indian Muslims in India and across the global diaspora.
